Board of Directors

Anthony Mowatt

Founder & Director

Anthony received his initial training in the law practice of Smeath Pinto, pioneers in the development of loss recovery schemes. Recognising the trend of the business towards the insurance industry and away from purely legal practices, Anthony went into partnership with the Brian Johnson Insurance Group to form Linkfield, a specialist brokerage. Anthony’s development of Linkfield was also combined with his involvement with the group’s general broking clients, primarily Singapore Airlines and Bell + Howell. In 1988 Anthony sold his interest in Linkfield and formed Bastion’s parent company, Keystone Legal.

Anthony has been a member of the Lord Chancellor’s consultative committee responding to the Government’s proposed sweeping changes to Access to Justice. Anthony has also been actively involved in ABI/Law Society sponsored industry summits and has spoken at Lloyd’s of London on related insurance topics.
